Vaccines, sanity and first aid kit

It is very awful to feel sick when starting a journey or an upset surprise when we are immersed in it and even more if we have not previously advised on health requirements for entry into a country.
While many times Health requirements vary according to the destination you have chosen, there are some basic questions to consider:

Before you go:

* Make sure you know the requirements to enter the country you want to visit: many countries require for example to obtain a visa and at the time of immigration that comes their placement certificate against yellow fever vaccine, for example (South Africa , India).

* Find out about other vaccines that can help against infection through cuts in the skin (anti tetanus) or could protect you against blood-borne pathogens such as vaccines against hepatitis A and B.

* Although I have seen that no airline request, is convenient to carry for flight the medication you could need for the travelling hours  and a copy of the prescription with you.

* Build your kit (which should be in the luggage to dispatch) with drugs which should help to discomfort or temporary situations: anti feverish, anti allergic, charcoal tablets for diarrhea, anti acid or gastric protectors. If you get dizzy easily like me, leads a medication that allows you to combat the dizziness caused by the motion of the airplane or boat.

* Always carry eye drops. The atmosphere of the plane usually affects the conjunctiva of the eyes and increase itching or cause irritation.

* If you are under medical treatment in particular, controlled doses of your take enough drugs to reach you during the entire journey, the drugs often change from country to country with what can be complicated if you have to replace or buy new abroad. Take also the accompanying prospectus to show it to any medical assistance that you may need.

* If your destination is located on high sites as the city of Cuzco, you should make a previous visit to your trusted clinician or physician to discuss whether to take some prevention against altitude sickness.

* If your destination is tropical, with high temperatures and abundant rainfall, always remember to take along insect repellent. It is placed under the sunscreen ten minutes before sun protectors.

During the trip:
-It is always advisable to drink bottled water, and do not eat raw vegetables or unpeeled fruits bought on the street, be careful with ice (preferably not consume) and make a quick visual inspection of the place before buying ice cream.

-Please make sure that if you buy a bottle or a soda, this factory is closed and is not altered the protective seal.

-Pay attention to the signs of the hotels on whether or not to drink water from the tap. Usually there is mineral water in the bathrooms of the hotel rooms to wash oneself teeth without problems.

-In recent times have been released small disinfectant wipes very useful in portable containers that help and much to clean oneself after bathing or before eating any food.

-The plastic bottles of alcohol gel are another ally when there are not many opportunities for hand hygiene.
